Rautner Rechtsanwälte advises W.E.B/Erste Bank on the repowering of the Gols and Sigleß wind farms and the construction of the PV plant Rohr

Rautner Rechtsanwälte has provided legal advice to a project company of WEB Windenergie AG (W.E.B) and Erste Bank on the financing of the repowering of the Gols and Sigleß wind farms in Burgenland, as well as the construction of the photovoltaic plant Rohr near Hartberg, with a total capacity of approximately 27.4 MW.

The Gols wind farm will produce enough local electricity to power the equivalent of 8,300 households per year, while the Sigleß wind farm will supply approximately 13,000 households. The photovoltaic plant in Rohr will generate electricity for more than 2,000 households. It is planned that both the renewed wind farms and the photovoltaic plant will be operational in 2024.

Last year, Rautner Rechtsanwälte also advised W.E.B and Erste Bank on the expansion of two wind farms in the municipalities of Dürnkrut and Velm-Götzendorf, with a total capacity of 16.8 MW.

Repowering wind farms, that is, replacing old turbines with new, more powerful ones, significantly contributes to the expansion of renewable energy. In Gols, for instance, the new two wind turbines will generate more than twice as much electricity as the old three turbines. Thanks to the legal support from Rautner Rechtsanwälte, the financing was swiftly put in place,” commented Frank Dumeier, CEO of W.E.B, on the collaboration.

We are very pleased that we were able to support W.E.B in these important projects,” said Dr. Uwe Rautner, Managing Partner at Rautner Rechtsanwälte. “Promoting renewable energy is crucial for a sustainable and independent energy supply.
