As part of a capital increase, oekostrom AG, the largest independent energy service provider in Austria, placed 201,019 new registered shares with an issue volume of EUR 4.1 million. These were subscribed in full quickly after the subscription rights period from April 28 to May 26, 2021. Almost exclusively existing shareholders of oekostrom AG were involved.

Around two thirds of the shares were already acquired by 785 of the 2,081 oekostrom AG shareholders during the subscription rights phase. Around 400 shareholders submitted additional subscription requests for the follow-up issue. As a result, the capital increase was clearly oversubscribed.

The green electricity pioneer intends to use the proceeds to expand their wind and photovoltaic power plant park, in particular in connection with a large wind power repowering project in Parndorf, Burgenland. The number of customers should also continue to grow.
